Greetings Flashpoint Army.
Sorry about our web site being down for a few days, but we are back up and running now.
Yet again you guys and gals made it another successful Flashpoint weekend.
Trouble is I can't remember half of it. Just kidding!! Well Thursday night was a quite turn out, but it's not the quantity it's the quality that counts.
Thanks to Bill Stewart for fixing up our boat trailer and letting me work in his office all day Friday. I had forgot what it was like to around a bunch of factory workers, I was beginning to like it. Except why don't they like Mini Muffins? Probably should have bought Macho Muffins!
On to Friday........ The Eagles Landing. As always we had a blast. The Tequila Sister's were out in full force and even tried to recruit some poor unsuspecting lady into doing shot's.(Cuervo Shot's that is) Sorry Trudi, I know you had a serious hangover at your meeting Saturday. Next time you come out make sure you don't have to work the next day!! We also had a special feature, we had a new percussion player. "Blind No Rhythm Henderson" joined us to play some Cow Bell. I don't think we will be making Flashpoint three piece just yet Alan! But keep practicing!!
On to Saturday night...... Treasure Camp, Fowlers Bluff. This gig is always special. Thanks so much to Marcia and Jim from Arizona for cooking us a gourmet dinner before we played.
Not a large turn out of Flashpoint Fan's but that's okay it gave us a little time to make new one's. I would like to say a special hello to The Georgia Boys!!!! Sorry Guys, but I can not remember all your names, but it sure was nice meeting Ya'll. Has anyone ever told you, you talk funny!! Just to clue everyone else in, These guys were traveling up and down the Suwannee on a huge House Boat. They docked outside the Treasure Camp and took a little boat to the Bar. 600 Budweiser's later, they took the boat back. By morning they were gone. Back to Farming in Georgia. Later this year we may be going to Georgia to play for these guys.
On to Sunday....... We had the day off on Sunday, so we took off boating on the Suwannee with Mr. (Cedar Key) Willie. We headed to Salt Creek in Suwannee where we are playing later this month. We would like to say a huge Thank You to Mary Ann Crown one of the owners of Salt Creek Restaurant. You sure did make us feel welcome and the food was awesome. We are looking forward to the 25th March. If anyone is planning to come from Cedar Key, It is quicker by boat (Terry and Teresa!!) and you can dock right outside and listen to us play. This gig is a milestone for Flashpoint. I just want to thank you all for making it possible. It's you that makes Flashpoint successful.
On to Monday....... Jerry's place was a hoot again! We arrived to find out Jerry and Nancy had made us dinner.
I don't know what's going on here, arriving at the gig and getting fed (when the gig is not a restaurant) but I like it!
